Agatha Ecosystem

Edge UOL creates a solution for managing IT environments in an automated way.

IT teams face significant challenges when trying to manage their applications and infrastructure manually, and we have noticed that the term “infrastructure” is quite mutable, not only over time but also from client to client, as modern IT applications include mobile devices, managed or unmanaged clouds, public or private clouds, third-party services, integrations with SaaS, and much more. It is more than evident that traditional management approaches are no longer as effective in these dynamic, heterogeneous, and elastic environments. Maintaining and tracking 100% of all this complexity using manual human force is unfeasible.

The Agatha Ecosystem is Edge UOL’s response to this new way of approaching the operation of modern IT systems, aiming to build a framework supported by multiple tools that enables the management of an environment or client in an automated manner, ensuring business continuity with minimal manual interventions. The Agatha Ecosystem proposes to continuously assess the IT environment and learn from new scenarios suitable for automation, meaning that after implementation, over time it generates increasingly more value for the client. The Agatha Ecosystem is comprised of four essential pillars:

  • Observability: implementing and constantly evolving monitoring of an IT environment, ensuring that all layers of a system are satisfactorily covered in one or more monitoring systems, creating informative and alert messages precisely according to defined events. The observability pillar is responsible for: detecting consumption events and failures; detecting history-based anomalies; performance analysis; and intelligent event correlation;
  • Engagement: it is responsible for custom integrations with ITSM along with other tools in the ecosystem, aiming to facilitate engagement of professionals who manage the environment and clients. This pillar takes into account various automated tasks, such as creating tickets, dependency analysis, change creation, among others, which enable expediting the resolution of detected or undetected problems by the observation layer. Along with automation and data visualization components, we can currently: automate tasks; risk analysis; evaluate service performance; and create a constantly updated knowledge base;
  • Action: it is the pillar that encompasses various automations responsible for self-healing, automation for building environments, applications, and intelligent decision-makers. Therefore, it is interconnected with the observability and engagement pillars, ensuring quick responses to variations;
  • Governance: its function is to ensure the processes that enable the implementation of all tools of the Edge Agatha Ecosystem and automations aiming at compliance requirements, business continuity, and risk management.s.

Our challenge
